Buttermilk Pound Cake

1 cup margarine (2 sticks)

3 cups sugar

5 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

3 cups cake flour

½ teas. baking soda

1 teas. vanilla

 

Beat margarine and sugar together.  Add eggs one at a time.  Add cake flour alternately with buttermilk.  Add baking soda and vanilla.  Pour into tube pan that has been sprayed with Baker’s Joy (or has been greased and floured).  Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
