Peanut Blossoms

1 ¾ cup flour

1 teas. baking soda

½ teas. salt

½ cup Crisco

½ cup peanut butter

½ cup sugar

½ cup brown sugar, packed

1 egg

2 T. milk

1 teas. vanilla

1 bag Hershey’s milk chocolate Kisses, unwrapped

 

Cream Crisco, peanut butter, and the sugars.  Blend dry ingredients and gradually add.  Add egg, milk and vanilla.  Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls, roll in granulated sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheets.  Bake for 8 minutes at 375 degrees.  Remove from oven and place a Kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks around the edge.  Return to oven and bake 2 to 5 minutes longer.
