Chocolate Chip Cookies

½ cup Crisco

¾ cup brown sugar packed

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 teas. vanilla

1 egg

1 cup flour

1 teas. salt

1 teas. baking soda

1 cup flour (2 cups total)

12 oz bag chocolate chips

 

Mix all ingredients in order—do not over beat.  Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet.  Bake 8-9 minutes at 350 degrees.  Watch!  Take them out when light—they will cook a bit more on pan when removed from the oven.  After a min or so take them off the pan.
