Granda Pat’s Vassar Fudge

(Alice Louise O’Brien Merica, nicknamed Pat)

 

2 cups sugar

I cup milk

2 squares bitter chocolate

3 T. butter

1 teas. vanilla

 

Cook chocolate and milk until thick and smooth.  Add sugar gradually.  Cook until it forms soft ball in cold water.  Add butter and vanilla.  When perfectly cold, beat well.  Pour into pan and keep in a cool place.
